Cardholder Rewards Terms of Use

Effective October 10, 2024

The Cardholder Rewards Terms of Use (“Agreement”) contains important information about the credit card rewards points (“Points”) offered in connection with the use of the Rocket Visa Signature® Card (“the “Rocket Rewards Program”). This Agreement is in addition to the Rocket Visa Signature® Card Credit Card Cardholder Agreement, (“Cardholder Agreement”) and shall govern the Rocket Rewards Program.

1. AGREEMENT AND DEFINITIONS

This section tells you what this Agreement governs and how it is structured. This section also defines certain terms used throughout this Agreement.

This Agreement is between you and Rocket Card, LLC. You accept the terms of this Agreement when you earn or redeem Points, and by your continued use of your Rocket Visa Signature® Card. This Agreement replaces any previous versions of terms and conditions governing the Rocket Rewards Program. From time to time, we may give you additional terms and conditions associated with the Rocket Rewards Program. They will be considered part of this Agreement.

Definitions: The following terms, when used in this Agreement, have the meanings below:

Rocket, we, us, or our means Rocket Card, LLC.
Affiliate means any person, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, joint venture or other form of enterprise, domestic or foreign, including parents, subsidiaries, that directly or indirectly, control, is/are controlled by, or are under common control with Rocket, including but not limited to, the Rocket Family of Companies, or companies that are controlled by RKT Holdings, LLC and share the Rocket name, including Rocket Mortgage, LLC, Rocket Homes Real Estate, LLC d/b/a Rocket Homes, RockLoans Marketplace LLC d/b/a Rocket Loans, Rocket Money, Inc. and ForSaleByOwner.com, LLC (a Rocket company).
Agreement means this entire Cardholder Rewards Terms of Use.
Card means a Rocket Visa Signature® Card.
Cardholder(s) means any current and former primary cardholder(s) of a Rocket Visa Signature® Card.
Point(s) means points obtained through using your Rocket Visa Signature® Card under the Rocket Rewards Program.
Rocket Rewards Program means the Rocket Rewards Program hereunder that allows a Cardholder to keep track of their Points activity, including information about when and how the Cardholder earns and redeems Points, and through which a Cardholder may redeem such Points.
Required Funds To Close means the sum of amounts due at closing, including, but not limited to closing costs and down payment, which are required to close on a mortgage with Rocket Mortgage.
Reward(s) means the items, services, credits and cash equivalents or other offerings for which Points can be redeemed through the Rocket Rewards Program as expressly outlined herein.
Rocket Account means your account with Rocket or any of its Affiliates, which enables your interaction with the Rocket Family of Companies and participation in the Rocket Rewards Program.
Rocket Mortgage means Rocket Mortgage LLC.
Rocket Visa Signature® Card Account means your account with Rocket Card, LLC, which enables your interaction and participation in the Rocket Rewards Program.
You and your means you, as a Cardholder.

By accepting and using your Rocket Visa Signature® Card, you as the primary cardholder (“Cardholder”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by the Cardholder Agreement and this Agreement. If the Cardholder Agreement conflicts with this Agreement, then the Cardholder Agreement will govern unless it is a matter directly relating to the Rocket Rewards Program (e.g. earning of Points by use of your Rocket Visa Signature® Card). This Agreement governs the earning of Points by Cardholders in connection with spending on a Rocket Visa Signature® Card. Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this Agreement are defined in the Cardholder Agreement and apply to this Agreement.

Your Rocket Visa Signature® Card is powered by Deserve and issued by Celtic Bank pursuant to the Cardholder Agreement; however, the Rocket Rewards Program is provided to you by Rocket Card, LLC (“Rocket”) pursuant to this Agreement.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENROLLMENT

This section outlines general rules about eligibility and enrollment in the Rocket Rewards Program.

You may begin earning Points under the Rocket Rewards Program in connection with your Rocket Visa Signature® Card, upon account opening of the Rocket Visa Signature® Card, and the ability to earn Points associated with said card is restricted to Cardholders in good standing (as defined by Rocket, Deserve and/or Celtic Bank, and may be modified from time to time). Rocket reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether you are eligible for enrollment or continued participation in the Rocket Rewards Program.

3. EARNING POINTS

This section outlines general rules about earning Points.

A. Qualifying Purchases: You may earn Cardholder Points (or “Points” herein) via your Rocket Visa Signature® Card, as a Cardholder only on qualifying purchases (e.g. card presentation for purchase or online purchase, but excluding Nonqualifying Purchases) and based on the award levels established by Rocket from time to time. Points will be earned only when such qualifying purchases are settled, which may be after your purchase date. Your Points are calculated in accordance with the description below and are earned on each qualifying purchase. Your Points accumulate based on your Rocket Visa Signature® Card spend. Points become eligible for redemption after the close of the statement cycle in which they were earned, which will be no more than one (1) calendar month from the transaction settlement date. Points are deemed a rebate of transaction purchase price.

B. Nonqualifying Purchases: You will not earn any Points on the following non-qualifying purchases (“Nonqualifying Purchase(s)”): credit or debit adjustments or use of any cash back rewards for statement credits, disputed charges, convenience checks, payments made for stored value cards such as gift cards and similar cards (including initial purchase and reloading), wire transfers, money transfers, foreign currency purchases, travelers checks and similar products that may be converted to cash such as money orders and certified checks, securities transactions, illegal transactions, casino gaming chips, race track wagers, lottery tickets or similar betting transactions, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, all incidental charges and fees charged by Rocket and/or pursuant to your Cardholder Agreement (e.g., voluntary payment protection costs, finance and interest charges, returned check fees, service charges, over-limit fees, late fees, annual fees, ATM fees), or purchases made when your Rocket Visa Signature® Card, is not in good standing (as determined by Rocket, Deserve, or Celtic Bank from time to time).

C. Rocket reserves the right to establish, in its sole discretion, whether a certain transaction is a qualifying or Nonqualifying Purchase from time to time. Purchases made through third-party payment accounts, mobile or wireless card readers, digital wallets or similar technology will not be eligible if the technology does not provide sufficient transaction details for rewards qualification. Rocket is not responsible for providing Points if the merchant does not provide sufficient transaction details for rewards qualification. Unauthorized transactions, including those made with a lost, stolen, canceled or fraudulent Rocket Visa Signature® Card, do not earn any Points and may be frozen or clawed back at Rocket’s sole discretion. You will not receive Points or be eligible to redeem your existing Points if your Rocket Visa Signature® Card, account is flagged as suspended, lost/stolen, over-limit, past due, voluntary closure, revoked, charged-off, the balance is discharged in bankruptcy, or otherwise not in good standing (as defined by Rocket, Deserve, or Celtic Bank from time to time).

D. You will not be eligible to redeem your existing Points toward your mortgage balance unless your Rocket Visa Signature® Card and your mortgage with Rocket Mortgage are associated with the same Rocket Account.

Points Earn Structure:

A. Earn: You earn five (5) Points for $1 spent on all qualifying purchases made using your Rocket Visa Signature® Card.

B. You are solely responsible for (i) verifying the accuracy and completeness of any Points calculated and applied, or not applied, by Rocket; and (ii) maintaining an account in good-standing. You must notify us of any Points errors within thirty (30) days of such information being made available to you. If you do not notify us of any errors within thirty (30) days, you will forfeit the right to contest the applicable transaction(s) Points eligibility, except to the extent such forfeiture is prohibited by applicable law.

4. REDEMPTION AND REWARDS
This section tells you about certain available redemption options in connection with the Rocket Rewards Program (the “Rewards”) and explains some of the terms and conditions related to redeeming Points for each of those Rewards.

Who may redeem Points: Only you can redeem Points from your Rocket Account, unless we tell you otherwise.

When Points may be redeemed: Points earned via your Rocket Visa Signature® Card will be available for redemption no later than one (1) month from the transaction settlement date and can be monitored from the Rewards Dashboard, Card Dashboard, and Rocket Money app. You may redeem your Points in accordance with the terms and conditions governing the Rocket Rewards Program. Any Points earned in relation to your Rocket Visa Signature® Card will be shown as detailed herein; however, such Point information will not appear on your monthly billing statement(s).

· The cash value of Points varies depending on manner of redemption and is governed by the Rocket Rewards Program and current redemption options, which may be reviewed by logging into your Rocket Account, but is additionally described below, for convenience only:

How Points may be redeemed: You can redeem Points in the following ways:

A. Credit Card Balance Reduction: Points may be redeemed for a statement credit toward your Rocket Visa Signature® Card balance. Points redeemed toward this Reward are worth $0.0025 per point (or an overall equivalent 1.25% back on spend)
- i. To the extent your Points are applied as a statement credit, the Points will only reduce your credit card principal balance and will neither eliminate your obligation to make your minimum statement balance payment when due nor advance your next payment.
B. Credit Toward Unpaid Principal Balance of a Mortgage Serviced by Rocket Mortgage: Points may be redeemed toward the unpaid principal balance of an existing mortgage (“UPB”) serviced by Rocket Mortgage at the time of redemption. Points redeemed toward this Reward are worth $0.004 per point (or an overall equivalent 2% back on spend).
- i. This Reward is only available for retail mortgages serviced by Rocket Mortgage at the time of redemption. Cardholders cannot redeem Points for a credit toward the unpaid principal balance of a mortgage serviced by any company other than Rocket Mortgage at the time of redemption. For avoidance of doubt, this Reward is not available for Charles Schwab partner mortgages, Rocket Third Party Originated loans (“TPO” loans), assumed loans or Rocket loans provided through MaaS (“Mortgage As A Service”) partnerships.
- ii. This Reward is only available for non-delinquent mortgages serviced by Rocket Mortgage and may only be redeemed for individual redemptions of $25 or more.
- iii. Rocket Mortgage may sell the mortgage servicing rights for a Cardholder’s mortgage to a third party at any time without notice and does not make any guarantees, warranties, or representations of any kind that the mortgage servicing rights for a Cardholder’s mortgage will not be sold. While Rocket Card will attempt to avoid this outcome for existing Cardholders, in the event it does happen, Rocket Card will provide you with notice of how that affects your redemption options upon receiving notice of the impending sale
C. Credit Toward Required Funds To Close Associated With A Retail Purchase Mortgage With Rocket Mortgage: Points redeemed towards a new mortgage transaction with Rocket Mortgage (excluding refinance) are worth $0.01 per Point (or an overall equivalent 5% back on spend) towards “Funds Required to Close” which can apply to down payment, fees, and closing costs. Points that can be redeemed towards this Reward are capped at 800,000 Points, or a cash equivalent value of $8,000 per loan. Rocket may change this cap from time to time. If Points redeemed towards this Reward (within the established cap) exceed “Funds Required to Close,” excess value will be delivered to the customer as part of the final mortgage transaction.
- i. This Reward is only available toward retail mortgages serviced by Rocket Mortgage. It is not available toward mortgages that are Charles Schwab partner loans, TPO Loans or Mortgage As A Service partnerships.

‍Additional Information About Redeeming Points:

No Warranties: Rocket and its Affiliates participating in the Rocket Rewards Program make no guarantees, warranties, or representations of any kind concerning the Rocket Rewards Program.
No Liability For Rewards: You release Rocket and its Affiliates participating in the Rocket Rewards Program from all liability regarding the redemption of Points toward Rewards, including any Rewards that are lost, stolen, or destroyed after they are obtained.
Availability Of Rewards: The availability of any Reward is not guaranteed.
Point Value May Vary: The value of a Point for purposes of the Rocket Rewards Program may vary depending on the Reward for which it is being redeemed. We have the right to change the Points to dollar conversion rate for Rewards at any time.
Reward-Specific Terms And Conditions: Special terms and conditions may apply to certain Rewards. Sometimes you will be required to affirmatively accept those terms and conditions when you redeem Points. Even if you are not required to do so, by redeeming Points for that Reward, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the applicable terms and conditions. Please carefully read all terms and conditions before redeeming Points.

5. LOSS OR SUSPENSION OF POINTS

This section tells you how Points you have already obtained or received may be lost or suspended.

When Your Rocket Account Is Closed: Rocket and its Affiliates may close your Rocket Account at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to suspected fraud, misuse, abuse or suspicious activity. If you have multiple Rocket Accounts at the time one of your Rocket Accounts is closed, you will lose only the Points that are associated with the closed Rocket Account.

You Close Your Rocket Account: If you voluntarily close your Rocket Account, you will lose the Points associated with it immediately.
We Close Your Rocket Account For Any Reason: If we close your Rocket Account for any reason, you will lose the Points associated with it immediately, except as required by applicable law.
Limited Online Access: When your Rocket Account is closed, you will lose access to it and any Points associated with it online.

We Cancel The Rocket Rewards Program

If the Rocket Rewards Program is canceled, Points can no longer be redeemed, except as required by applicable law and in a fashion determined by us.

Loss Upon Death

You will lose the Points associated with your Rocket Account upon your death, and your estate, successors and assigns have no property rights or other legal interests in such Points.

6. ACCOUNT CLOSURE

In the event your Rocket Visa Signature® Card account is closed, you will no longer be able to accrue new Points and we will be unable to award you any Points. After your account is closed, you cannot redeem Points toward the Rewards outlined in section 4(A) and 4(B) of this Agreement. However, you may still redeem previously earned Points toward the Reward outlined in section 4(C) of this Agreement.

7. AUTHORIZED USER PURCHASES

An authorized user is someone who has been given a physical card linked to their primary cardholder’s account. Authorized users can usually make purchases with the credit card issued in their name, but do not have a unique account, agreement, or set of rights from the primary cardholder. Primary cardholders are responsible for making account payments and retain all rights and rewards associated with all Rocket Visa Signature® Cards associated with their account and any authorized users attached thereto. Primary cardholders also remain responsible for all payment obligations associated with their Rocket Visa Signature® Card Account and any authorized user cards attached thereto.

When available, your Authorized User’s qualifying purchases earn Points on your account as if such purchases were made by you.

8. NO REWARDS EXPIRATION
‍
So long as your Rocket Visa Signature® Card remains in good standing, your Points never expire. Rocket reserves the right to determine the method to disburse your Points balance.

9. PROHIBITED USE OF THE ROCKET REWARDS PROGRAM

This section tells you that we may take action in response to account fraud, misuse, or abuse, including (but not limited to) removing Points and suspending or closing your Rocket Account. Rocket reserves the unrestricted right, and in its sole discretion, to disqualify you from earning Points or from your continued participation in the Rocket Rewards Program in the event of fraud, abuse of Rocket Rewards Program or violation of this Agreement or the Cardholder Agreement.

Fraud, Misuse, Abuse, Or Suspicious Activity: If we see evidence of fraud, misuse, abuse, or suspicious activity, as determined by us in our sole discretion, we reserve the right to take action against you. This may include, without limitation and without prior notice, any or all of the following:
- Removing Points
- Stopping you from obtaining Points
- Suspending or closing your Rocket Account
- Taking legal action to recover Rewards redeemed because of such activity and to recover our monetary losses, including litigation costs and damages
Examples of Fraud, Misuse, Abuse And Suspicious Activity:
- Buying or selling Points other than as permitted under the Rocket Rewards Program
- Points redemptions that you did not authorize

10. ADDITIONAL ROCKET REWARDS PROGRAM DETAILS

From time to time, Rocket may make adjustments to your Points balance based on your purchasing activity. For example, Rocket may decrease your Points balance in the event of a purchase return or price adjustment, or in the event an error occurred in the amount of a Points disbursed by us. Future Points may be deducted to satisfy a negative Points balance, which may decrease the actual amount of Points received.

11. NO ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES

Unless otherwise stated in your Cardholder Agreement, Rocket is not responsible for any claim you may have regarding the purchases of goods or services, and any corresponding Points thereto, made with your Rocket Visa Signature® Card.

12. TERMINATION

Rocket may terminate this Rocket Rewards Program or the option to earn Points in connection with the Rocket Visa Signature® Card at any time, and for any reason whatsoever. In the event that the Rocket Rewards Program is terminated, Rocket will provide you timely notice, which will include a date (in the future) after which you will no longer be able to earn Points or Rewards, generally or in connection with the specific option terminated.

13. INCOME TAXES

You are responsible for determining any tax liability arising from your participation in the Rocket Rewards Program. Consult a tax advisor concerning any tax consequences.

14. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE ROCKET REWARDS PROGRAM

At any time, and in its sole discretion, Rocket may amend this Agreement and may change or limit any of the terms and conditions of the Rocket Rewards Program without notice to you, except where required to provide notice by applicable law in which cases Rocket will provide required notice. Such changes are effective immediately and applicable to the Cardholder on such effective date. Changes may include, but are not limited to, the amount of Points earned, the type and/or value of Points, the availability of Points, the general Rewards offerings, the expiration of Points, any fee or increase in fees associated with the Rocket Rewards Program or the Points, and the list of Points values. Your continued participation in the Rocket Rewards Program or receipt of Points does not grant you any vested rights, nor may you rely on the continued availability of the Rocket Rewards Program and/or Points. In the event of any changes to this Agreement, or the Rocket Rewards Program, Rocket will post any such changes on its website and it is your responsibility to review the Cardholder Agreement and this Agreement for any such changes.

15. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

This section tells you more about the Rocket Rewards Program, including information about how we may contact you.

No Cash Value: Points have no cash value.

Other Exclusions and Restrictions Apply: Other exclusions and restrictions apply to Points and Rewards.

No Property Rights: You have no property rights or other legal interests in Points, except as may be granted by applicable law. By operation of law, you cannot transfer Points through events such as an inheritance, bankruptcy or divorce. Points also cannot be assigned or pledged.
Disputes Between Cardholder and Other Persons: We are not responsible for disputes between you and a third-party involving Points or any other aspect of the Rocket Rewards Program.
Indemnity: You agree to indemnify us and our third-party service providers, and all of our and their respective Affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, and hold us and them harmless from and against any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of any kind (including attorneys' fees) arising from our or a Cardholder use of the Rocket Rewards Program, any fraud, misuse or abuse of the Rocket Rewards Program, violation of this Agreement and/or violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
Limitation Of Liability: You release us, our third-party service providers, and our and their respective Affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors, for your participation in the Rocket Rewards Program, including in connection with obtaining Points, redeeming Points for Rewards and using Rewards, the expiration and forfeiture of Points and changes to or cancellation of the Rocket Rewards Program. The third-party service providers, including merchants and contractors, that participate in the Rocket Rewards Program are not affiliated with us, and we and our Affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents are not responsible for, and you release us from, any liability arising in connection with products and services provided by those third-party service providers, including Rewards and/or any such services provided in connection with Rewards, such as delivery or servicing.
Void Where Prohibited by Law: The Rocket Rewards Program and/or any feature of the Rocket Rewards Program are void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law or regulation and are subject to change as necessary to comply with law or regulation.
Notices And Communications: We may send communications about the Rocket Rewards Program to you at any mailing or email address on our records or through our online services. You agree that we (and/or our service providers or anyone we authorize) may contact you at any phone number, email address or mailing address you provide, or we obtain in other ways. This includes communications to mobile, cellular/wireless, or similar devices. We may contact you by live operator, auto-dialer, recorded or artificial voice, text or email. You agree to pay any charges from your plan provider for communications we send to you, as well as communications you send to us. We may use voice recognition technology to verify your identity when you call. We may capture and store your voiceprint for this purpose.
